Julia Hackel is a clinical social worker and a graduate from Simmons School of Social Work. She started at the Home Base Intensive Clinical Program (ICP) as an intern, providing case management and co-leading groups. Upon graduating, she joined the Home Base staff and is now transitioning to provide individual therapy in the ICP and outpatient clinic. Julia previously interned at a community-based mental health day treatment program. Julia’s clinical interests include working with people who have experienced trauma, incorporating mindfulness into Western therapeutic approaches, and connecting to the whole person through a holistic approach to therapy. She enjoys dancing, nature, and traveling the world.
